A blog is a public journal that contains news and information about an individual or organization's personal life, which is updated regularly with pictures and videos to show what the blogger is currently up to. This type of journal can be used for many different purposes, but it's mostly used as a way to share opinions on various topics with other people who are interested in the subject matter of your blog post. There are lots of different types of blogs, but the most popular ones include those that talk about celebrity gossip, fashion, technology and family entertainment. The latter is what this blog will be about. Think about your blog as a scrapbook that you fill with pictures and video clips that show people what you're currently interested in doing. Think back to when you were a kid, and remember how fun it was to look through the scrapbook of your mom or dad's childhood. You can't live life in a box any longer - no matter how much fun it would be - because you should always try to make memories to look back on in the future. Life is meant for being lived, so try new things every once in a while. Keep an open mind, and don't be afraid to try something new. That's what this blog is all about; it's about taking the things you like doing and sharing them with other people. If you like watching films, watch films! If you like collecting pictures of your friends on Facebook, make a new page for this blog and make sure to add pictures from fun nights out you've had recently. Now that we've created the basic foundation of the blog, let's get started with setting up our blog so that we can start posting our first content. Number one - The Blog Name: As I mentioned earlier, blogging for dummies means doing a blog for just about anything. If you're new to the blogging world, I'd recommend that you keep your blog name simple. Don't worry about making your blog name "catchy" or "educational" for some other people to look at. Simply create a title that is easy for people to read, and make sure it's catchy enough for them to want to click it. For example, I'm calling my blog "universeofcelebs.blogspot.com." The first thing that pops into people's heads when they read this is "Oh, this has something to do with celebrities!" It's simple and easy to remember; therefore an ideal blog name. Number Two - Don't Forget the Title: Another thing it's important to remember when you're creating a blog is to not forget to put a title at the top of your blog page. It's what people will see every time they visit your page, and it's an essential part of your blog. Don't get too creative here; try and find something that reminds you of the main theme of your page (if there is one).
